The 1st Rule About Change…

Is that it never stops.

Change is all around us and if we do not welcome and adapt to change we get left behind. I love change, especially change that involves technology.  However, as I have learned over time, you have to balance technology changes and innovation with everything else.  Regardless if you are implementing a technology in your business or you just bought that awesome new phone or wearable, identifying how that technology fits with everything else is crucial.

Finding this right balance is my passion.  This goal of this blog is to share my personal experiences around finding that balance and leveraging technology in innovative ways!

A lot of the change I currently deal with revolves around Salesforce and my own journey as an #AwesomeAdmin.  A large focus of this blog will be focused on change  related to Salesforce. The next few posts will be about one of the biggest changes to come to Saleforce in years, the Lightning Experience. This is a huge change for Salesforce the has been met with great excitement, but like everything has to be balanced and introduced in the right way in order to not negatively disrupt how companies are currently using the platform. More on that soon…

One of my favorite technology changes over the last several years is all of the opportunities to collaborate with others online through a variety of sources.  I constantly benefit from the amazing community of others on Twitter, the Salesforce Community and a number of amazing blogs and podcasts (check out some of my favorites here). If this concept sounds like what you do on a daily basis I hope you follow along and that we can collectively share ideas together.

I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes that speaks to the changing force that a group or community can have on the world: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

Welcome to The Changing Force!
